How to concentrate on studies
One of the most terrifying things on Earth is the period of time when one has to concentrate on nothing but that open textbook. How can you concentrate in a perfect way that won't affect your studies?
There have always been a solution in this so there is nothing to worry about to worry about. All you have to do is to adapt yourself to certain rules and guided lines that will keep you concentrated and this is nothing more than following the below mentioned methods. Before I continue, I want to let you know that it really helps if you eat while you study. Your body needs energy and so does your brain. And it also helps if you drink water because your body needs to stay hydrated. Use checklists to help you figure out how much you've done and how much you have left.
How to concentrate on studies
Study in a convenient place: You must have a quiet place to study with a bottle of water to keep you energized and proper lighting in your room. Do not study right in front of a TV because you will only do your homework when the advertisements come up. As entertaining as the show looks, you must not let your mind drift to the television program, which is why you should do your homework in a quiet place without distractions.
Make a timetable: The first thing you have to do is to draw up your timetable. You can't really concentrate on your studies if you read, read, and read again for 24 hours straight. The best thing is 30-60 minute periods with 5-15 minute breaks in between. Get the most important things done first. Don't waste time trying to remember everything. Take it one step at a time, there's no need to rush.
Get everything you need: This includes pencil, eraser, pen, sharpener, etc within your reach so that you are not distracted while studying. Have a snack that is filling, e.g. peanut butter crackers. This will help your mind stay focused but don't drink coffee, tea, or any other energy drinks. It will make you feel tired.
The next thing now is to take out a piece of rough paper and list the rows from 1-10. Then, before you hit the books, brainstorm 10 'pros' on why you should concentrate. Don't even think about the 'cons', because you'll never come up with the 'pros' if you think about the 'cons'. And, list out the objectives that you'll achieve after your studies. This will help you concentrate as you will get what you want or achieve something from the 'pros'.
Donít get distracted: In order to concentrate on studies, you have to prepare a full set of rough paper, note sheets, stationery, and files. Have your books and some reference titles nearby. Don't hop up in the middle of revision to get anything as it may be very distracting.
If you can't seem to get yourself to study, think about what you'll do when you grow up. Do you want to get a good job as an engineer, doctor, lawyer or work in a dairy or the gas station? Put some music on. Classical is the type that can really help with concentration. Whatever you choose, make sure itís not on headphones because that can be distracting.
The ultimate words
Concentrating on your studies is not all about putting unnecessary efford but figuring out your study habits, such as re-reading previous notes or pages in a textbook. It helps to think about what you'll be doing if you flunk and get an "F" or under 35 marks. Think about this and it will compel (or "entice") you to do better.
